On Scout Day, Two U-16 National Team Players Make Their High School Fool

Kartika Vedayanto and Ernando Ari Sutaryadi (Nando), two of Indonesian Under-16 national team players, came to their high school. Their presence immediately made a scene.

The two players who have just helped the U-16 national team win the U-16 AFF Cup came to Semarang 11 Public High School on Tuesday (08/14/2018). At that time a ceremony was held to commemorate Scout Day.

The situation turned out to be boisterous and lively when Principal of SMAN 11 Supriyanto called Nando and Kartika to the ceremony. “We are proud of the two of them who have struggled to defend Indonesia,” said Supriyanto.

As a form of appreciation, both are covered with flowers. Nando was also asked to speak in front of the ceremony participants. “Friends stay motivated,” Nando said with a voice that sank in the midst of the hubbub.

Nando and Kartika then became the target of the photo together, not only from their friends but also the teachers. Both of them fulfilled the photo invitation while continuing to smile, also seen kissing the hands of their teachers.

Not long after, Nando and Kartika were carried by their schoolmates in the field. “I didn’t expect to be welcomed like this. Feeling proud of the big 11 high school families supporting me. This interest is also an honor for us,” said Nando.

After the ceremony, they toured the school to meet and let go of longing with their friends. Students were excited about fighting photos together.

“Very handsome, really handsome,” said one of the students who ran to Nando and Kartika to ask for a photo together.

Nando was recorded as a 7th grade student of IPS 7 and Kartika was a class X IPS 7 student at Semarang 11 Public High School, who had six classes for athletic students.

For teaching and learning activities, the teacher is sent to the Teaching Stadium so that the young athletes can keep learning while practicing.

“Yes, we support by providing facilities. Their grades are also good academically, above the average 70,” said Principal Supriyanto. {AK}
